DFARS 252.205-7000 Provision of Information to Cooperative Agreement Holders
Does the regulation require it to flow down?
No
No subcontracts paragraph in the clause and nothing in 205.470 / deviation 205.701 addressing subcontracts. Primes include it as part of a blanket paste of the DFARS clause list. Note the irony a sub should register: the clause's subject IS subcontracting — it exists to make defense buyers findable by the small-business assistance network — so when a prime does flow it down, the sub inherits a real (if trivial) duty to publish its own buyer contacts.
A clause can reach your subcontract without a mandate. Once it is in your document, it is a contract term all the same. The missing mandate is a fact about the regulation. It is not a ruling on your order.
Checked against acquisition.gov on 2026-08-05 · edition JUN 2023 (codified DFARS); Class Deviation 2026-O0003 prints the same text as OCT 2024 — the two designations conflict (unconfirmed which controls) · base v0.9.3 Read the text ↗
What it makes you produce
One item for your checklist.
Something you write
Days to weeks, and nobody outside your company has to agree to it.
A list of the people or offices in your company who place subcontracts on defense work, each with a business address, telephone number and area of responsibility, given to a procurement technical assistance holder that asks for it
DFARS 252.205-7000(b)
When it is used
DoD solicitations and contracts expected to exceed $1.5 million, including those using FAR part 12 procedures for commercial products and commercial services, except solicitations and contracts solely for the acquisition of commercially available off-the-shelf items (DFARS 205.470, renumbered to 205.701 by Class Deviation 2026-O0003). Implements 10 U.S.C. 4957. The $1.5M is the value of the document the clause sits in, so a sub only carries it on its own account if its own subcontract crosses $1.5M — but primes routinely paste it in below that.
Read closely
(c) caps it: no single requester gets an updated list more often than once a year. In practice the requester is a regional APEX Accelerator, and the clause sets up no form, no portal and no retention duty of its own.

This is research, not legal advice. It states what the regulation says about this clause and cites the paragraph behind it. It does not rule on your order, and it does not rule on whether a prime's markings are correct.
