The table filled in at offer: each precious metal, the whole troy ounces needed, and the stock number and nomenclature of the item that needs it
DFARS 252.208-7000(b)Two prices for every deliverable item that contains precious metal — one with the Government furnishing the metal, one with you furnishing it
DFARS 252.208-7000(c)
When it is used
Prescribed at 208.7305(a) for acquisitions of items containing precious metals (silver, gold, platinum, palladium, iridium, rhodium, ruthenium); silver becomes mandatory GFM from 100 troy oz. Flows down via (d) to subcontract solicitations and purchase orders, unless the item being purchased contains no precious metal.
Read closely
(a) is why both prices are asked for: the Government furnishes the metal where the contracting officer finds it in the Government's interest, and Government-furnished silver is mandatory at 100 troy ounces or more, arriving under the Government property clause. Quoting one price where the clause asks for two is a defect in the offer, and quoting only the buy-it-yourself price gives away metal the Government would have supplied.

This is research, not legal advice. It states what the regulation says about this clause and cites the paragraph behind it. It does not rule on your order, and it does not rule on whether a prime's markings are correct.
