DFARS 252.211-7000 Reserved. [formerly: Acquisition Streamlining]
Does the regulation require it to flow down?
No
No mandate can exist because there is no clause. It survives in 5 of 43 corpus documents because flow-down matrices are maintained by addition, not by deletion: the 2007 Force Protection/GDLS MRAP subcontract predates the repeal and is not a defect, but the CACI 2020 subcontract, the Raytheon TC003 DFARS supplement, AAR's November 2023 list and RTX's November 2024 list all cite a section that has been Reserved since 2018-10-31. The repealed clause did carry its own $1.5M subcontract flow-down while it lived, which is how it entered the templates in the first place.
A clause can reach your subcontract without a mandate. Once it is in your document, it is a contract term all the same. The missing mandate is a fact about the regulation. It is not a ruling on your order.
Checked against acquisition.gov on 2026-08-05 · edition Reserved — no clause text in force on 2026-08-05 (acquisition.gov shows only '252.211-7000 Reserved.', DFARS Change 5/7/2026, effective 2026-05-07). Removed and reserved 2018-10-31 by DFARS Case 2018-D033 (83 FR 54676). Last codified designation before repeal: DEC 1991 (unconfirmed — the archived DFARS text is no longer served on acquisition.gov and the removal rule does not restate the designation). · base v0.9.3 Read the text ↗
What it makes you produce
One item for your checklist.
There is no clause at this number
The number points at a section with no text in it, so there is nothing to follow and nothing to send.
There is no clause text at this number — the section was removed and reserved on 2018-10-31, together with the prescription that once required it
DFARS 252.211-7000
When it is used
Nothing triggers it. DFARS 252.211-7000 is Reserved and its prescription at DFARS 211.002-70 was removed in the same rule — DFARS Case 2018-D033, final rule published 2018-10-31, 83 FR 54676, effective on publication. DoD's stated rationale: the clause implemented DoD Directive 5000.43 (Acquisition Streamlining), which had been cancelled and replaced by DoDI 5000.02, so the DFARS coverage was unnecessary. While it lived, it required the contractor to prepare acquisition streamlining recommendations in accordance with the performance work statement, formatted per the contract data requirements, and to include the clause in subcontracts exceeding $1.5 million. It does not appear anywhere in DFARS 212.301, including paragraph (f) (verified 2026-08-05), and no live DFARS section prescribes it.
Read closely
A flow-down list carrying this number is carrying a struck citation, which is a fact about the list rather than about your work. Until the 2018 removal the clause did carry its own subcontract flow-down, which is how it entered the lists it still sits in.

This is research, not legal advice. It states what the regulation says about this clause and cites the paragraph behind it. It does not rule on your order, and it does not rule on whether a prime's markings are correct.
