What it makes you produce
2 items for your checklist, slowest first.
A program you have to be running
You are either running it or you are not, and what the prime asks for is the date it started.
Paid sick leave for everyone working on or in connection with the contract, earned at not less than one hour for every 30 hours worked, up to the 56-hour annual cap
FAR 52.222-62(c)(1)
Something you write
Days to weeks, and nobody outside your company has to agree to it.
The leave records paragraph (i) enumerates, among them a copy of each notice telling an employee how much paid sick leave has accrued
FAR 52.222-62(i)(1)(vii)
When it is used
Contracts covered by SCA (41 U.S.C. ch. 67) or Davis-Bacon (40 U.S.C. ch. 31, subch. IV) performed in whole or in part in the US, any value. Flows down to the sub under the same conditions. Implements EO 13706 and 29 CFR part 13 — and, unlike EO 14026 (minimum wage), EO 13706 remained in force as of 2026-08-04.
Read closely
An existing paid time off policy counts where it is equal or better and meets the rule in 29 CFR part 13. Uses include the employee's own health, care for a family member, and domestic violence situations, and a doctor's note cannot be demanded for a short absence. Executive Order 13706 was re-read on 2026-08-07 against the text of Executive Order 14236: that order revokes 18 actions lettered (a) through (r), Executive Order 14026 is item (d), and 13706 is not among them. Paragraph (m) carries the substance into all subcontracts at any value that are subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards or Davis-Bacon and performed in whole or in part in the United States.

This is research, not legal advice. It states what the regulation says about this clause and cites the paragraph behind it. It does not rule on your order, and it does not rule on whether a prime's markings are correct.
